Style Saturday: Cupcake Decoration Haul

Hey guys, the other day I went food shopping with my mum and I brought some ingredients and decorations for some cupcakes that I'm planning on making. I saw a recipe for these Watermelon Slice cupcakes from the Betty Crocker "The Big Book of Cupcakes" and I thought they would be perfect to make for the summer time.

I needed some food colouring for the icing so I picked up red and green. I also picked up some vanilla flavouring.

I needed some chocolate chips for the in the cupcakes mixture and to decorate as they are supposed to be the seeds of the watermelon. I picked up the Dr.Oetker dark and milk chocolate chips.

For the recipe I needed powdered strawberry flavour jelly and I saw these jellly crystals so I hope they're same thing.

To decorate I picked up some piping bags and piping nozzles and to decorate the cupcakes I need a few different piping nozzles.

These ones by Waitrose have 4 differnt piping nozzles; petal, flute, ribbon and a round shaped one. So I thought that they would be good.

And lastly I got some more icing sugar as otherwise I can't decorate the cupcakes.

That's it!

Fashion Friday: Bright Summer Nails

Hey guys, last week I picked up 2 new nail polishes, not like I needed any but I haven't got these colours or anything like them and I think there gorgeous for summer as I love bright nails. Both of the polishes that I brought have a gel formula. I didn't mean to do this but thinking about this now I don't think I have any like that and I'm looking forward to trying a new formula out. I'm not really that bothered by them being high-shine as I always wear a top coat anyway but its worth a try to see what there like. I picked up a Collection Lasting Gel Colour Polish in the colour Think Pink. It's a really bright barbie pink. I own loads of pink polishes but nothing similar to this and I have been looking for one like this for ages.I also picked up another Barry M polish. I'm not the biggest fan of Barry M but I have never tried the Gelly High shine and I really love the colour. Green Berry is supposed to be a dupe for China Glaze's Too Yacht To Handle which I really wanted to try. It's almost a kind of neon blue/green which will look gorgeous in the Summer.

What I Ate Wednesday (23.5.14)

Breakfast
This week I found a new cereal that I really love and its the Jordans super berry granola. What I love about this granola is that it contains blueberries, cranberries and blackcurrants and it also contains seeds and almonds and it doesn't contain raisins unlike most "healthy" cereals, which is good as I really don't like raisins.

Lunch
For lunch I just had a toastie. I used the Cathedral City cheddar cheese and roasted chicken slices in my toastie with white bread.

Snack
For a snack I had my favouirte yogurt which is the vanilla Activia and on the side I had a few fresh strawberries, blueberries and a kiwi.

Dinner
Enchiladas for dinner, I love Mexican food and Enchiladas are defiantly one of my favourite meals. I had two Enchiladas and they were really filling. On the side I had peas and spinach.

That's it.

Beauty Tuesday: Soap and Glory Haul

Hey guys today's post is a little haul as Boots had 3 for 2 on Soap and Glory which I couldn't resist so I brought 3 body washes. I picked up my favourite one which is the Clean On Me which I like to use to shave my legs with, as it has an added moisturizer and makes my legs so soft. It also has the original pink Soap & Glory scent that I love. I also picked up the Sugar Crush body wash as I had the body scrub before and the scent is amazing its really fruity and smells like lemonade. Lastly I picked up the Orangeasm body wash, this is a new scent range for Soap and Glory and its smells almost minty, like a minty orange. I love Soap and Glory body washes as you only need a tiny amount about a couple of pumps and I put it onto a shower puff/ scrunchy thing (no I idea what there called, but I think you know what I mean) and  it lathers up really well and the amount of bubbles you get is unbelievable.

I think I've got a supply of showergel for the year!

Makeup Monday: Favourite Nude Lipsticks

Hey guys, recently I have been opting for a nude lip which is quite unusal for me as I'm more into bright pinks and oranges especially in the summer. Today I have selected my 5 favourites, some of you may think that that they are all the same but actually they are all very different.

My favourite's are: (from left to right)

Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
Rimmel Kate Lipstick 07
MUA Lipstick Shade 11
Avon Colourtrend Bubblegum Pout
MaX Factor Lilac Wine

 Revlon Lip Butter Creme Brulee
This is probably my favourite and most used everyday nude. It is probably the most nude lipstick I own but what I love is that it doesn't make me look washed out or totally block out my natural lip colour, it just gives a milky wash of gloss.

Rimmel Kate Lipstick 07
On my lips this looks more of an orangey nude and looks good with darker eye makeup on me. It's more of a wintery colour than a summer colour but still really good for everyday.

MUA Lipstick Shade 11
This one is the classic- your lips but better lipstick. It's one of those lipsticks that lives in your handbag and goes with anything. I always wear this when I can't decide on what colour to go for as I'm never disappointed with this one. It seems to look different everytime I wear it and with different makeup looks.

Avon Colourtrend Bubblegum Pout
This is another- your lips but better lipstick but is very different to the MUA. It's alot lighter and you don't get as much colour pay off. This lipstick is full of glitter and has a gorgeous gold shimmer.

MaX Factor Lilac Wine
This is more of a berry colour but still is a nude. It has gold shimmer running through and looks amazing in the summer and winter as its not to dark on the lips.

 Whats your favourite nude lipstick?

What I Ate Wednesday (3.5.14)

Breakfast
I didn't have my usual porridge today, instead I had a packet of breakfast biscuits. I had the Belvita breakfast biscuits and I had just the original Milk and Cereals one.

Lunch
Just a light lunch today and I had a pizza wrap with mushrooms, tomatoes, ham, cheese, fresh basil and on the side I had some rocket.

Starter
Before Dinner my dad made some homemade bruschetta, which is my all time favourite starter. I always order it when I go out to ASK. I didn't eat all of what is shown in the picture, it was shared between four of us. However I probably could of done.

Dinner
We had Spaghetti Bolognese for dinner- a bit of an Italian day today but I love Italian food so its all good. With my Spaghetti Bolognese I had grated cheddar cheese on top and on the side I had peas.

Surprise Sunday: Baking Cupcakes

Hey guys, I did a little bit of baking yesterday and I made some marshmallow fluff cupcakes. The recipe wasn't my own it was this one- bbcgoodfood-link. It was my first time making them and the actual cakes turned out really well but the icing ended up being a bit too runny.

Here's are all the ingredients...

Here's what they looked like before they went in the oven...

And here they are out of the oven and before they have been decorated...

I decorated them with a marshmallow fluff butter cream icing and I made my own icing bag. But because the icing was a little bit too runny I found that it didn't work that well. I then used some sweets to decorate them as I didn't have any sprinkles.

That's it.
